I’ve been curious about the coached training plans offered on Training Peaks, and so I pulled the trigger and bought one that was designed by Olympic Triathlon Coach Gale Bernhardt. Today is the first day of this 14-week base-building plan. Due to my surgery recovery and hiatus from racing, I’m incredibly out of shape; however, I’m also incredibly motivated. Not wanting to repeat the past but feeling overwhelmed with where to begin, I decided to seek out some help. I wasn’t quite ready to fork over the cash for a personal coach, so I did the next best thing…I think.
I’ll be updating my blog on a weekly basis with my progress and my thoughts on the plan itself. Upon my purchase yesterday evening, I can certainly attest to its organization. I was impressed with how the workouts populated my Training Peaks account, and the ancillary materials provided by Bernhardt are proving very helpful.
